 Departmental Profile:

                  The department of sociology was established in the year 1986. The aim of department is to provide a golden opportunity of higher education to needy students and enables them to complete to their education.

The department has been providing opportunities to the students who are alienated from main streams of higher education. it has been inculcating the social virtues and moral values on the students impressively.It always tries to bring out the best from the students and organizes various programs related with social values.The department regularly organizes various academic,co-curriculum activities such a group discussion, Power point presentation and study tour.The department strives hard to motivate students for various competitive examinations.

1. To study the discipline of sociology and sociological perspectives.

2. To create awareness of social research among the students.

3.  To fulfill social needs of community through sociological knowledge.

4. To create social awareness among students about social problems like Gender Issues, terrorism, child labor, dowry and female foeticide.

5. To enable students to apply  their knowledge for career as well as fulfill social responsibilities.
